Easter
I really think I need to keep a notebook with me at all times. Otherwise I forget all the things the boys will say to me. Owen is really into this talking back stage.. For me it is a little fun, but there are some days I don't want to hear it. Like I am really proud of him for standing up to certain things he believes in (when he thinks he is right) but it gets to be a little too much when he is just going off to go off! But on Sunday Owen, Logan and I went to church (at St Mary's). The night before I was explaining to them what Easter was all about (aka what happened to Jesus). So I kind of explained the story about Jesus walking through town with his cross and then how he got hung on the cross, and then getting put in the tomb, and finally rising. So we walk to church. Of course it is completely full and the only place they can sit us is in the front, where the choir sits. So picture this. We are basically sitting right in front of the piano and microphone while looking out to everyone in the church. YEAH!! So we sit down and church starts. This man keeps walking around (didn't' know who he was or what he was doing). Logan turns to me and asks "Is that Jesus?" I told him no, and that he had to be quiet because of the microphone in front of us. Then church goes on. Logan is so into it. He is really listening, Owen was pouting a little bit, but doing pretty good. I got up for communion (I know I spelled that wrong) and I came back and Logan says "What did you get?" Like it was a big surprise or a toy that the priest was giving everyone. It was so funny.. I told him that I got a piece of bread. Of course he immediately says "I want a piece!". I told him no, and then said that Owen will be able to do that next year. And of course Owen flips out because he doesn't want any part of that bread. So Logan, once again, says "OH Owen, it's ok.. it's just bread, you like bread". It was just too much and too funny. Overall, it was fun to go with them and see that they are so well behaved. Logan was really listening which just shocked the crap out of me. I think it really helped when I told the story first, so they knew what was going on. Logan did want to know why Jesus was still on the cross. I told him that it was just a statue. Too funny!!

Hysterical! Did the man look like Jesus who kept walking around? The bread part---that is too funny! Those boys crack me up-your adventures remind me of my house! Every day is an adventure around here!
I know it is an adventure. Some days you are going to pull your hair out and others you can't believe what they just said. Yesterday we were outside and Logan wanted to get the other basketball (that was inside). I told him that dada didn't want that outside and he points to where it says Spalding (did I spell that right) and he says "Look Mommy, it says, B-A-S-K-E-T-B-A-L-L, so it goes outside". I couldn't help but laugh. And what made it even funnier was he started at the S and as he was saying basketball, he moved his finger all the way to the end. I still laugh just thinking about it..
Oh and NO, the guy did not look like Jesus..
He's right - to them Basketball (even if it is spelled Spalding) belongs outside!
I know. I showed Ryan what Logan did the other morning with the basketball and we both laughed. There are certain things in life that you can always look back on and will still get a good laugh, that moment will always be in that bucket.
